Marsupilami – Sega Genesis Game

Marsupilami is a platform game for Sega Genesis based on the comic character, a long-tailed creature from the jungle. You guide Marsupilami through side-scrolling stages, using his tail as a tool as well as for movement, and much of the play involves interacting with objects and animals in the environment rather than simply jumping on enemies. Levels include puzzle elements where you must move or use items to clear a path, and you work alongside an elephant companion in sections that require coordinating the two. Hazards and creatures are handled through non-lethal means, in keeping with the source material’s tone. Presentation uses colourful cartoon sprites and jungle backdrops with animated character sequences. Progress is made by reaching the end of each stage while solving the obstacles placed along the way.
