Marvel Super Hero Squad – PS2 Game

A Marvel action game aimed at younger players, based on the Super Hero Squad line with its stylised, big-headed takes on well-known Marvel characters. You control heroes from the squad through story-driven stages, using punches, throws and character-specific special attacks against waves of enemies before facing larger boss opponents. A second player can join in locally for co-operative play, and the roster expands as you progress. Presentation follows the cartoon look of the franchise, with bright environments, comic-styled effects and light, joke-heavy dialogue between characters. Controls are kept simple, with straightforward attack inputs rather than long combo strings. The PlayStation 2 release plays with a standard DualShock controller. A reasonable pick for family play or for Marvel fans curious about the Super Hero Squad games.
