Maui Mallard in Cold Shadow – Gameboy Game

Maui Mallard in Cold Shadow on Game Boy is a side-scrolling platformer starring Donald Duck in the role of Maui Mallard, a detective who takes on a case on a tropical island. As Maui you fire a weapon at enemies while jumping between platforms, and at points you switch to his alter ego Cold Shadow, a ninja who fights with a staff and can use it to climb and swing across gaps. Levels mix combat with platforming puzzles, hidden areas and boss encounters, and the two forms give you different ways to handle obstacles. The handheld version presents the action in monochrome with scaled-down sprite work and level layouts built around the Game Boy’s smaller screen. Cartoon-style animation and slapstick enemy designs run throughout.
