McDonald’s Treasureland Adventure – Sega Genesis Game

McDonald’s Treasureland Adventure is a side-scrolling platformer for the Sega Genesis in which you play as Ronald McDonald. Ronald’s main tool is a magic scarf, which works as a whip-like attack against enemies and can also be used to grab and swing from certain points in the environment. Along the way you collect items and puzzle pieces that open the path forward, and Ronald can gain temporary abilities that change how he moves and attacks. Stages run through brightly coloured themed worlds, each with its own hazards, moving platforms and boss encounter. The game is built around exploration of each level as much as straight running and jumping, with secrets tucked away off the obvious route. Presentation is cartoonish, with detailed sprite animation and a cheerful soundtrack.
