Mechwarrior 2 – PS1 Game

MechWarrior 2 puts you in the cockpit of a BattleMech, a walking war machine armed with lasers, autocannons and missiles. Missions send you across hostile planetary surfaces to destroy enemy mechs, defend positions and take out installations, with objectives briefed before each drop. Piloting involves more than aiming: you manage heat build-up from your weapons, watch armour damage on individual limbs and torso sections, and target specific components on enemy machines. Between missions you choose which mech to take out and adjust its loadout, trading weapons, ammunition and heat sinks against weight limits. The PlayStation version presents the action from a first-person cockpit view with 3D terrain and structures. The setting is drawn from the BattleTech universe and its rival warrior clans.
