MechWarrior 2 – Sega Saturn Game

MechWarrior 2 is a first-person mech combat simulation set in the BattleTech universe. You pilot a heavily armed BattleMech through mission-based campaigns, taking on objectives such as destroying enemy machines, defending bases and eliminating structures on open 3D battlefields. Combat rewards management as much as reflexes: firing energy weapons builds heat that can shut your mech down, armour is tracked separately on each section of the chassis, and you can target individual enemy limbs and weapon mounts. Before a mission you select a mech and configure its weapons, ammunition and cooling within a strict tonnage limit. The Saturn version uses a cockpit view with instrument readouts, radar and targeting displays. The story follows the rival clans of the BattleTech setting and their ongoing war.
