Mega Man 8 – PS1 Game

Mega Man 8 is a 2D action platformer for the PlayStation. It keeps the series structure of choosing from a set of robot master stages, defeating each boss, and adding their weapon to your arsenal for use in later levels. The presentation is built around hand-drawn sprites and detailed backgrounds, with animated cutscenes and voice acting framing the story. Bolts collected in stages are spent at a shop screen on upgrades such as improved buster shots and support items. Some stages break from standard running and jumping with vehicle or forced-scrolling sections, and Rush can be called in as a jet for aerial segments. The later portion moves into fortress stages with boss rematches and a final confrontation with Dr. Wily.
