Mega Man X Collection – PS2 Game

This PlayStation 2 compilation collects the first six Mega Man X action-platformers on one disc, along with the kart-style racer Mega Man Battle & Chase. You play as X, a Reploid hunter who dashes, climbs walls and fires a chargeable buster through stages guarded by Maverick bosses, claiming each defeated boss’s weapon for use elsewhere. Armor parts, sub tanks and heart tanks are tucked into the levels, rewarding exploration and repeat visits once you have new abilities. Several of the later entries let you switch to Zero, who fights primarily with a saber at close range. Playing the games in order shows how the series changed its visuals, story delivery and stage design over time, while keeping the fast, momentum-driven movement that defines the X games.
