Mega Man X7 – PS2 Game

Mega Man X7 brings the series to the PlayStation 2 with 3D character models and stages that shift between side-scrolling sections and fully three-dimensional areas. You control a two-character team, switching between them mid-stage and swapping in a fresh fighter if one runs low on health. Alongside X and Zero, the game introduces Axl, who fires twin pistols and can copy the forms of certain enemies. Defeated Mavericks still hand over their weapons, and rescuing captured Reploids found in stages unlocks upgrades that raise stats for your characters. The story follows a group called Red Alert and the Maverick Hunters’ response to it, told through voiced cutscenes. Camera-relative movement, lock-on shooting and boss fights staged in open arenas sit alongside the more traditional platforming segments.
