Metal Slug X – PS1 Game

Metal Slug X is a run-and-gun action game for the PlayStation, based on a reworked version of Metal Slug 2. You fight through side-scrolling stages on foot, shooting enemy soldiers, vehicles and mechanical bosses while throwing grenades and freeing prisoners of war who reward you with weapons such as the heavy machine gun, shotgun, flame shot and laser. Enemy placement, weapon drops, backgrounds and time of day differ from the game it revises, and it adds new hazards and boss encounters. Familiar series touches return, including Metal Slug tanks and other rideable vehicles, plus transformations like the mummy state that slows your movement. The art is hand-drawn sprite work with heavy animation and cartoon humour. Two players can fight side by side.
