• Cleaned, tested, and guaranteed to play. Authentic cartridge.
• Side-scrolling exploration focuses on searching maze-like areas, battling creatures, and uncovering routes through hidden tunnels.
• Samus gains artifacts from a lost civilization that grant new abilities, including rolling through narrow passages and climbing sheer walls.
• Battery-backed saving lets progress continue deeper into the planet during the hunt for the Metroid threat.
• Multiple endings reward more thorough and skillful exploration across the adventure.

The game directly follows the NES Metroid and expands the series’ portable storyline around Samus Aran’s mission on the Metroid homeworld. Its ability-based exploration later became central to the structure associated with the Metroid series.
