Micro Machines 1 and 2: Twin Turbo collects two entries in the toy-car racing series on Game Boy Color. Both use an overhead view and pit miniature vehicles against each other on courses built from everyday surroundings, where kitchen tables, garden paths and workshop benches become racetracks and ordinary household objects act as obstacles. Races are short, with a tight camera that keeps all cars in frame, so drifting too far behind the pack can end your run. Vehicles vary in feel across the different themed courses, and control is arcade-style rather than simulation-based, focused on cornering and avoiding falls off the edges of the track. Having both games together gives you two sets of tracks and vehicles in one cartridge for handheld play.
