MLB 09

MLB 09: The Show for PlayStation Portable is a handheld entry in Sony’s baseball simulation series, with licensed Major League Baseball teams, players and ballparks. You bat by timing your swing against the pitch, pitch by choosing a type and aiming its location, and field by taking control of defenders to make throws. Games can be played as single contests or across a longer schedule where you manage a roster and pitching staff over many games. Simulation options let you skip ahead when you would rather see results than play every at-bat, which suits shorter handheld sessions. Presentation follows a television broadcast style, with commentary and stadium sound between plays, and difficulty settings adjust how demanding hitting and pitching are. It is a realistic take on baseball rather than an arcade one.
