Monsters Inc – PS1 Game

This PlayStation game is a licensed tie-in to the Pixar film Monsters, Inc. It is a 3D action-platformer set in the world of Monstropolis and the scare factory, casting you as the film’s monsters as they work through a series of stages built around movement, exploration and simple objectives rather than combat. Progress involves navigating hazards, collecting items and completing tasks drawn from the film’s premise of monsters who make their living frightening children. Presentation leans on the film’s characters and locations, and the difficulty is aimed at a family audience, with straightforward controls and clearly signposted goals. Expect a compact console platformer of its era rather than a lengthy adventure.
