Mortal Kombat 4 – PS1 Game

The PlayStation version of Mortal Kombat 4 moves the fighting series into 3D graphics while keeping matches on a 2D plane, with a sidestep to dodge into the background. Fighters carry weapons that can be drawn mid-match and dropped when struck, and each character also has projectiles, combo strings and Fatalities. The roster blends series regulars like Scorpion, Sub-Zero, Liu Kang and Sonya Blade with new fighters introduced in this entry. You can work through a single-player ladder of opponents, ending in a boss encounter and a character ending, or play against a second player. Stages include environmental hazards in some arenas. Blood, gore settings and the series’ hidden codes and secrets are part of the presentation.
