Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance is a 3D fighter in which every character carries three combat styles: two unarmed disciplines and one weapon stance, swapped on the fly to keep pressure and chain longer strings. Each fighter has a single Fatality. The story follows the sorcerers Quan Chi and Shang Tsung teaming up, and the roster combines series veterans with fighters introduced in this entry. Modes include an arcade ladder, two-player versus, practice, and Konquest, a mission-based mode that walks you through each character’s moves and background. Coins earned in matches are spent in the Krypt to unlock characters, arenas, alternate costumes and behind-the-scenes material. Arenas are enclosed 3D spaces, with some featuring hazards used during finishing moves.
