The Xbox release of Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance carries the series into 3D one-on-one combat, with each fighter equipped with three switchable styles: two martial arts stances and one weapon. Switching mid-combo is central to the fighting system, and every character has a Fatality. The plot has Shang Tsung and Quan Chi allying, and the roster pairs returning names with new additions. Beyond the arcade ladder and two-player versus, Konquest mode teaches each character’s moveset through structured missions, while the Krypt lets you spend coins earned in fights to open hundreds of hidden items, including extra fighters, costumes, arenas and production material. Practice tools help you drill combos and style transitions before taking matches to a second player.
