Mortal Kombat Special Forces – PS1 Game

Mortal Kombat: Special Forces steps away from one-on-one fighting and puts you in a third-person action game set in the Mortal Kombat universe. You play as Jax, the Special Forces officer, pursuing Kano and members of the Black Dragon clan after a mass prison break. Instead of matches and rounds, you move through connected stages, clearing out waves of enemies with punches, kicks, throws and a selection of weapons and gadgets picked up along the way. Progress involves finding keys and switches, dealing with hazards, and facing boss encounters against Black Dragon members. The presentation keeps the series’ bloody tone and character designs, and cutscenes carry the story between areas. Controls are built around combat combos and simple exploration rather than the timing-based duels of the main fighting games.
