My Hero – Sega Master System Game

My Hero is a side-scrolling action game for the Sega Master System, adapted from Sega’s arcade original. You play as a young man whose girlfriend has been carried off by a street gang, and you fight your way to the right across urban stages to get her back. Combat is simple and direct: a punch and a kick, used against waves of thugs who approach on foot, on wheels and from above, with a limited window to strike before they reach you. Enemies vary between stages, and defeated foes sometimes drop useful items. There is no health bar in the conventional sense — contact costs you a life, so spacing and timing matter more than aggression. Short, arcade-paced levels and score-chasing runs define the experience.
