Myst – Sega Saturn Game

Myst on the Sega Saturn is a conversion of the first-person puzzle adventure. You explore a deserted island rendered as pre-rendered still images, moving from viewpoint to viewpoint with a cursor and clicking on machinery, switches and documents to see what they do. There is no combat, no inventory management in the traditional sense and no way to die; progress comes from reading the journals you find, noticing patterns in the environment and operating devices in the right order. Doing so unlocks linking books that transport you to separate worlds, each built around its own set of mechanisms. Running through it all is the story of Atrus and his sons Sirrus and Achenar, told through written pages and recorded messages that you must interpret before deciding how the tale ends. Pen and paper help.
