Namco Museum – PS2 Game

Namco Museum for PlayStation 2 gathers a selection of Namco’s arcade games into one disc. The collection focuses on the company’s early coin-op output, including maze games in the Pac-Man line, shooters such as Galaga, and Dig Dug’s underground tunnelling and monster-inflating action. Games are chosen from a menu and played individually, each one keeping the single-screen, score-chasing structure of its arcade original, with difficulty rising as rounds repeat rather than through level-by-level narrative progression. Because the titles were designed for coin-op cabinets, rounds are short and replay is driven by improving your score and mastering enemy movement patterns. Controls are handled with the DualShock 2 pad. It suits players who want a straightforward way to revisit several classic Namco arcade games on a single console release.
