NASCAR 99 – Nintendo 64 Game

NASCAR 99 brings licensed stock car racing to the Nintendo 64, with real drivers, cars and oval tracks from the NASCAR circuit of the period. You pick a driver and car, then race single events, run a full championship season, or take on time trials to learn the lines around each speedway. Handling sits between arcade and simulation: you can adjust setup options such as gearing and tire choices, and damage and pit stops factor into longer races. Split-screen multiplayer lets a second player join in on the same console. Camera options include in-car and chase views, and a commentary track plays over the action. Difficulty and race length settings let you scale a weekend down to a few laps or stretch it toward full distance.
