NBA 08 – PS2 Game

NBA 08 is a licensed professional basketball simulation for the PlayStation 2, released as part of Sony’s NBA series. Play is five-on-five with the league’s official teams, players and arenas, viewed from a broadcast-style camera. You can start with a single exhibition game, run a regular season through to the playoffs, or manage a team over several years, dealing with rosters and trades along the way. The control scheme covers dribble moves, passing, post play, jump shots and dunks, plus defensive assignments and pressure settings. Game length, difficulty and rule sliders can be tuned to taste. Commentary, replays, crowd audio and on-screen statistics give games a televised feel. Multiple players can compete on one console using the PlayStation 2’s controller ports.
