A PlayStation release in EA Sports’ NBA Live series, featuring five-on-five basketball with licensed NBA teams and players. Games are presented from a broadcast-style camera with commentary and crowd audio, and include replays and on-screen scoreboards. Offence covers set plays, passing, post moves and a range of shots, while defence involves switching players, contesting shots and going for steals and blocks. Along with exhibition games you can play a season through to the playoffs, manage rosters with trades, and build custom players with a create-a-player tool. Statistics accumulate as a season runs. Difficulty levels, quarter lengths and rule settings can be adjusted, and a second controller lets two people play against each other or on the same team.
