NBA Live 2001 – PS2 Game

A PlayStation 2 entry in EA Sports’ NBA Live series, offering five-on-five basketball with licensed NBA teams, players and arenas. The game uses a broadcast-style presentation with commentary, crowd audio, replays and on-screen scoreboards. On offence you run plays, pass into the post, drive the lane and take jumpers; on defence you switch defenders, contest shots and try for steals and blocks. Modes include exhibition games, a season leading into the playoffs, franchise-style roster management with trades and drafting, and a create-a-player tool for adding custom players. Statistics are tracked across a season. Difficulty settings, quarter lengths and rule options let you adjust the pace, and additional controllers allow head-to-head or co-operative play on the same console.
