NBA Live 97 – PS1 Game

NBA Live 97 is the PlayStation entry in EA Sports’ basketball series, moving the action to 3D polygonal players on a textured court with camera angles that follow play up and down the floor. You control licensed NBA teams in five-on-five games, calling plays, driving for dunks and layups, shooting from the perimeter, and switching defenders. Modes include single exhibition games plus a season with statistics tracking that continues into the playoffs, along with a three-point contest. Rules such as quarter length, fouls, and difficulty can be adjusted before tipoff, and rosters can be edited and traded between games. Presentation uses a broadcast style with commentary, crowd noise, and replays. A second controller allows head-to-head or cooperative play on the same console.
