NBA ShootOut 97 – PS1 Game

NBA ShootOut 97 is an early entry in the PlayStation basketball series, presenting licensed NBA teams and players in five-on-five games. You control one player at a time, passing, shooting, driving inside and rebounding on offense, then switching to defenders to contest shots and force turnovers. Exhibition games are joined by longer play through a season schedule and the playoffs, with statistics tracked for players and teams. Substitutions, lineups and play calling are handled from menus, and difficulty and game length settings let you set a faster arcade tempo or a slower simulation pace. The court and players are rendered in 3D with camera options, commentary and on-screen score and clock displays. Two players can play against each other on one console.
