NBA ShootOut 98 – PS1 Game

NBA ShootOut 98 is an installment in the PlayStation basketball series, built around licensed NBA teams and players in full five-on-five matches. You direct one player at a time, calling plays, working the ball for open jumpers, driving to the basket and defending on the other end while the AI handles the rest of your lineup. The game includes single exhibition games and longer play through a season and into the playoffs, tracking player and team statistics. Lineups, substitutions and play selection are handled through menus, and adjustable difficulty and quarter length change the tempo and scoring of games. The action plays out on a 3D court with selectable camera angles, commentary and broadcast-style on-screen displays. Two players can compete head-to-head on a single console.
