NBA Showtime – Sega Dreamcast Game

NBA Showtime brings arcade basketball to the Dreamcast with fast two-on-two matches built around exaggerated dunks and quick scoring runs rather than realistic simulation. You pick from NBA teams and rosters, then play short quarters where blocks, steals and mid-air collisions happen constantly. Sink several shots in a row and your player heats up, adding trails and extra power until the opposition scores. Controls are simple, with shoot, pass and turbo handling most of the action, so games move quickly and are easy to pick up with a second player. The presentation borrows from television broadcast basketball, with commentary and on-screen graphics framing each game. Modes let you play single exhibition matches or work through a series of opponents, and secret players and options can be unlocked.
