Need for Speed 2 – PS1 Game

Need for Speed 2 is a racing game for the PlayStation centered on exotic supercars and international courses. You pick from a lineup of high-performance road cars and race across long tracks set in varied locations, with scenery and shortcuts built into the routes. Single races, tournament play and a knockout format are available, with unlockable content awarded for successful runs. As in the earlier game, each vehicle has accompanying information and imagery highlighting its specifications, keeping the series’ automotive presentation. Handling is arcade-leaning rather than simulation-focused, favoring high speeds and recoverable slides over precise physics. Camera options include chase and in-car views, and a split-screen mode lets two players race on the same console. The emphasis is on covering ground quickly in expensive machinery on scenic, wide-ranging circuits.
