NFL Xtreme 2 – PS1 Game

NFL Xtreme 2 is an arcade football game for the original PlayStation, built around NFL teams and players in exaggerated, rules-light matches. Squads are smaller than in simulation football, penalties are largely absent, and the emphasis falls on breakaway runs, spin and juke moves, and punishing tackles. Play selection is kept short so games move quickly, and the controls are simple enough to pick up in a few plays. You can run exhibition matches or work through season-style play against the league, and two players can compete on the same console. Presentation includes commentary and crowd noise to frame the action. It is a straightforward option for players who want NFL rosters in an over-the-top style rather than a detailed football sim.
