NGEN Racing – PS1 Game

NGEN Racing is an aircraft racing game for the original PlayStation. Instead of driving cars, you pilot jets through courses that run over and through landscapes, threading canyons, structures and other tight spaces while jockeying with rival racers. Handling combines throttle and steering with banking and altitude changes, so lines through corners are three-dimensional rather than flat. You compete in race events to unlock further craft and tracks, with each aircraft handling differently in terms of speed and agility. A split-screen mode supports head-to-head racing on one console. The presentation uses a sense of speed and low-altitude proximity to scenery to convey pace. It suits players looking for arcade racing that is not confined to the road.
