NHL 06 – Xbox Game

NHL 06 is an entry in EA Sports’ annual hockey series, playing out full-contact five-on-five games with licensed NHL teams, arenas and player rosters. You control one skater at a time, switching automatically as the puck changes hands, and work the puck through passing, dekes, body checks and shots on goal. Penalties, line changes and goaltender play are all simulated, with rule and difficulty settings you can adjust to make matches more arcade-paced or closer to televised hockey. Alongside single exhibition games, the package includes longer-term play across a season and into the playoffs, so you can manage a roster over time rather than only playing one-off matches. Two players can share a console for cooperative or competitive games. Presentation follows the series template of broadcast-style camera angles, commentary and crowd audio.
