NHL 2001 – PS1 Game

NHL 2001 for the original PlayStation is an entry in EA Sports’ hockey series, using licensed NHL teams, arenas and player rosters. Games follow standard five-on-five rules, with the controller handling skating, passing, dekes, shots and body checks while control switches between teammates as possession changes. Penalties and goaltending are simulated, and you can adjust period length, rule strictness and difficulty to change how demanding a match feels. Modes cover quick exhibition games as well as longer play through a season and the playoffs, with roster and line management available from the menus. Two players can share the console to play with or against each other. Commentary, replays and arena crowd audio give matches a televised presentation.
