NHL 2002 – Xbox Game

NHL 2002 on the original Xbox is an EA Sports hockey game built around licensed NHL teams, arenas and player rosters. Play consists of five-on-five matches where you skate, pass, deke, check and shoot with the controller while control moves between teammates as possession changes. Officials call penalties, goaltending is simulated, and options for difficulty, rules and period length let you tune matches toward quicker arcade hockey or a more deliberate simulation. Single exhibition games sit alongside longer play through a season and the playoffs, with roster and line-up management handled from the menus. Others can join locally for head-to-head or cooperative games. The presentation uses broadcast-style camera angles, replays, commentary and crowd audio around face-offs and stoppages.
