NHL 2003 – Gamecube Game

NHL 2003 is an entry in EA Sports’ licensed hockey series, here on the Nintendo GameCube. You play full games of NHL hockey with real teams, arenas and rosters from the era, controlling skaters on offense and defense and taking over the goaltender during scrambles in front of the net. Passing, dekes, body checks and one-timers are all mapped to the controller, with adjustable difficulty and penalty settings so you can lean toward simulation or a looser arcade pace. Modes cover quick exhibition matches, full regular seasons with standings and statistics, and playoff runs toward the Stanley Cup, along with trades and roster editing. Multiplayer is supported locally, so two or more players can share the GameCube’s controller ports for head-to-head or co-op games.
