NHL 94 – Sega CD Game

NHL ’94 on Sega CD is the CD-based version of the hockey game released across Sega and Nintendo platforms that year. It features licensed NHL teams and players, with fast five-on-five action viewed from an overhead-angled camera and simple, responsive controls for passing, shooting and checking. The game emphasizes quick puck movement and one-time shots off passes, with penalties, power plays and goalie control included. You can play a single exhibition game, take on a playoff run, or face a friend in two-player matches. The Sega CD format allows for CD-quality audio in the presentation. Options let you adjust period length, penalties and rules to lean more arcade or more simulation, and the streamlined pace keeps matches short.
