NHL 94 – Sega Genesis Game

NHL ’94 for the Sega Genesis is a licensed hockey game featuring real NHL teams and players. Matches are played five-on-five from an angled overhead view, with controls built around quick passing, checking and shooting, including one-time shots taken directly off a teammate’s pass. Penalties, power plays, faceoffs and manual goalie control are all part of play, and you can adjust period length, rules and penalty settings before dropping the puck. Modes include single exhibition games and playoff play toward the Stanley Cup, and two players can compete head-to-head using a second controller. The presentation includes organ music, crowd effects and a goal horn, with between-period stats. The pace stays brisk, favoring fast breakouts and direct shooting over slow buildup.
