NHL FaceOff 99 – PS1 Game

NHL FaceOff 99 continues Sony’s hockey series on the original PlayStation with licensed NHL teams and players. You control a full squad in five-on-five play, cycling lines, checking along the boards, and setting up shots with passing and deking. Modes cover exhibition games, season play with playoffs, and shootout-type contests, with roster and lineup editing available from the menus. Rule and difficulty settings, including period length and penalty strictness, let you decide how simulation-heavy each match feels. Commentary and arena crowd noise play over games, and goalies can be left to the AI or controlled directly depending on your settings. Two players can compete head-to-head locally, and support for a multitap-based setup allows more controllers for group games.
