NHL Powerplay 96 – PS1 Game

NHL Powerplay 96 is a hockey game for the original PlayStation, played five-on-five with NHL team and player licensing. Skaters and rinks are rendered in 3D polygons with selectable camera views, and the controls cover passing, checking, dekes, and shots from the point or in close. Penalties and power plays are enforced, and line changes let you keep fresh legs on the ice. Modes include exhibition games and season play leading to the playoffs, with lineup and roster adjustments handled from menus between matches. Period length, difficulty, and rule options let you make games shorter or more demanding. Commentary and crowd noise accompany play. Two players can face each other on a single console for head-to-head matches.
