NHL Rivals – Xbox Game

NHL Rivals is an NHL-licensed hockey game for the original Xbox, built around real league teams and players. You take control of a full squad on the ice, skating, passing, checking and shooting through matches that follow standard hockey rules, with line changes and goaltending handled as part of play. Modes cover quick exhibition games as well as longer play against the computer, and matches can be shared with a friend on the same console. Presentation follows the sports-broadcast style common to hockey titles of the era, with rink-level camera angles, on-ice audio and commentary framing the action. Controls emphasize positioning and timing in the offensive zone, while defense relies on body contact and stick work to break up rushes. Suitable for players who want straightforward licensed hockey on Xbox.
