Oddworld Abe’s Oddysee – PS1 Game

Oddworld: Abe’s Oddysee is a cinematic puzzle platformer for the PlayStation. You play as Abe, a Mudokon worker at the meat-processing plant RuptureFarms, who discovers that his species is next on the menu and escapes to save his fellow workers. Abe is largely defenceless, so progress relies on stealth, timing and observation rather than combat. The GameSpeak system lets you call out to other Mudokons and issue commands so they follow you to safety, and Abe can chant to possess enemy Slig guards and turn their weapons against the factory. Screens are laid out as fixed single-screen rooms filled with mines, meat grinders, patrolling guards and pull-chains. How many Mudokons you rescue affects the ending you see.
