Olympic Soccer – PS1 Game

Olympic Soccer is an association football game built around Olympic tournament play. You select a national side and compete through matches toward the final, with standard football rules and a polygonal presentation typical of mid-1990s console sports titles. Matches are played from a camera that follows the ball around the pitch, with passing, shooting, tackling and set pieces handled through a small control set. Exhibition matches and tournament play are available, and two players can compete against each other on the same console. Presentation includes crowd audio and a heads-up display showing the score and match clock. As with other football games of the period, play is fairly direct, with an emphasis on quick passing moves and shooting rather than deep tactical or squad-management systems.
