Oni – PS2 Game

Oni is a third-person action game developed by Bungie. You play as Konoko, an agent in a near-future setting, working through missions across facilities, warehouses and city environments while uncovering the truth about her employers and herself. Combat mixes hand-to-hand fighting with firearms: you have a set of punches, kicks and throws that chain into combos, and you can disarm opponents and pick up their weapons, with limited ammunition encouraging you to fall back on melee. Levels are large indoor spaces with objectives to reach, switches to find and enemies posted along the route, and story is delivered through cutscenes and mission briefings. The visual style takes clear cues from anime. On PlayStation 2 it plays as a single-player campaign of consecutive missions.
