OutRun 2 – Xbox Game

OutRun 2 on the original Xbox is a conversion of Sega’s arcade sequel to OutRun. You drive licensed Ferrari models along branching stage routes, passing checkpoints against a timer while weaving through traffic. Drifting is central here: holding a slide through long bends is both how you keep speed through corners and how the game rewards stylish driving. As in the original, each stage ends with a fork in the road, so different runs lead through different environments to different final destinations. Alongside arcade-style point-to-point driving the game includes mission-based challenges with specific objectives, plus multiplayer options. The soundtrack features arrangements of OutRun themes, and the tone stays bright and scenic rather than aiming for racing simulation.
