OutRun – Sega Master System Game

OutRun on the Sega Master System is an 8-bit conversion of Sega’s arcade driving game. You take a convertible sports car through a series of stages against a timer, passing checkpoints to keep the clock alive while dodging slower traffic at high speed. Most stages end at a fork in the road, and your choice of direction sends you into a different environment, giving multiple possible routes and endings across separate playthroughs. A selection of in-car music tracks can be chosen before you start. There is no lap racing or opponent grid; the game is about maintaining speed and clean lines through changing scenery. Handling is arcade-style, with no car tuning or damage modelling.
