Over the Hedge – PS2 Game

This PlayStation 2 version of Over the Hedge adapts the animated film in which a group of woodland animals scavenge food from a walled-off suburban development. It is a third-person action platformer where you take control of characters from the film, among them RJ the raccoon, Verne the turtle and Hammy the squirrel, each with their own moves for fighting and getting around. Levels run through backyards, houses and garden mazes, tasking you with collecting food, dodging or dealing with pets and exterminators, and working through simple environmental puzzles. Collected items feed into upgrades and unlockables, and cooperative play lets a second player take one of the animals. Presentation follows the film’s cast and comedic tone.
