Paper Mario

Paper Mario: Sticker Star is a role-playing adventure for Nintendo 3DS built around stickers. Instead of a traditional inventory of moves, Mario peels stickers off the papercraft scenery and stores them in an album, then spends them in turn-based battles as jumps, hammer swings, items and other attacks. Larger Thing stickers, made from real-world objects Mario collects and converts, produce oversized attacks and are also used to solve puzzles in the environment. Progress runs through worlds selected from a map screen, with individual levels that hide secret exits and sticker caches. Action commands let you time button presses to strengthen attacks and guard against damage. The game uses stereoscopic 3D to emphasize the layered paper look of its characters and backgrounds.
