Paper Mario Color Splash – Wii U Game

Paper Mario: Color Splash is a turn-based role-playing adventure for Wii U in which the world’s color has been drained away. Mario travels across Prism Island with a talking paint can named Huey, using a hammer to splash paint back onto colorless patches of scenery, characters and objects. Exploration happens across a set of themed areas selected from an overworld map, with hidden paths and collectibles tucked into the papercraft environments. Battles use cards: you choose attack and item cards, paint them in with the GamePad touch screen to increase their power, then flick them into play. Larger Thing cards trigger oversized attacks, and some fights are resolved with special cutout sequences. The presentation leans heavily on paper and cardboard materials, and the writing is comedic throughout.
