Paper Mario – Nintendo 64 Game

Paper Mario is a role-playing game for the Nintendo 64 in which Mario and the world around him are rendered as flat paper cutouts moving through 3D environments. Bowser has taken Princess Peach’s castle and imprisoned the Star Spirits, and you travel through a series of chapters to free them. Battles are turn-based but use action commands, where pressing a button at the right moment increases damage or reduces the damage you take. You attack by jumping and using the hammer, spend flower points on special moves, and equip badges that grant new abilities and stat changes. Partners joined along the way each have a unique field ability for solving puzzles and an attack for combat. Between chapters you also play short sections as Peach inside the captured castle, gathering information and finding ways to help Mario.
